The branch manager and employees are kind and friendly, but the bank itself is terrible. I was charged three overdraft fees totaling $108.00 because they did not alert me of my negative balance until the next day. I asked if they could at least refund two of the overdraft fees since there should have been an alert for the first overdraft fee, but they refused to refund me. After being with BB&T/Truist for about 10 years, I've decided to switch to Chase. The $300.00 for opening a Total Checking account with them will be nice!

We received a $20 maintenance fee after our checking account balance fell below $10,000. I thought it was odd since just a few days before I searched the Truist website for fine print and confirmed the only checking account Truist offers has an account minimum of only $500, and even then it should have been only a $12 maintenance fee. Went into this branch and got to experience the single least competent manager in the business and was told there was literally nothing they could do. No one they could call locally, regionally, or with corporate. No amount of time would help to find a solution or to get a different answer, I just needed to pay the $20 fee and sign a single sheet of paper to change from a no longer offered type of checking account to the now only checking account that Truist offers and the issue will never happen again. I’ve previously worked with John and Mai at this branch and can say without hesitation that I know how moral, empathetic and non-shady managers carry themselves. After determining their level of comprehension had been met, I decided to stop punishing myself and move on. I don’t enjoy feeling robbed, so I took the remaining money from the account and moved it over to Chase across the street. I instantly felt like a complete idiot because they have a $900 sign on bonus offer. I wasted more than an hour dealing with Truist taking $20 from our account when the bank a block away paid 45x to move our accounts over. After leaving Chase I just felt like there no way this was a normal Truist experience. Within 10 minutes of calling their 800 number, someone was able to credit the maintenance fee and apologized profusely. I soon after got a phone call from a regional supervisor who again apologized and confirmed that the manager could have done numerous things to help salvage an awkward situation that should have never happened in the first place. Getting a surprise $900 from Chase at the end of this interaction was the single biggest gift Truist has ever given us. Please save yourself the headache of dealing with individuals that simply don’t care about people or doing the bare minimum.

I am utterly disappointed and frustrated with my experience at this bank, so much so that I'm compelled to advise everyone to steer clear! From the moment I opened my account, I sensed something was off, but I decided to give it a chance—what a mistake that was. I recently deposited a check worth $35,000, and to my dismay, they are holding it for 7 business days! This not only disrupts my financial plans but also blatantly violates federal regulations regarding check holds. this bank is more interested in milking interest on my funds by holding more than it should be . Their practices are not just disappointing; they're unethical. If you're considering this bank, I strongly suggest you look elsewhere. Don't get trapped like I did. Consider this a firm warning from a thoroughly dissatisfied customer.

I would highly recommend working with this branch. I recently moved the majority of my business to Truist Bank and the bankers at this location have been extremely helpful with the transition. Banker Trellis goes above an beyond to make sure all of our needs are addressed.
