A check was deposited into my account on August 7th but was returned on August 8th. My account is still on hold for an investigation. I'm confused as to why my account is still being investigated if the check was returned. It's been a week, and the customer service representatives keep repeating the same story. I'm really hoping they don't close my account without giving me my money. close my account without giving me my money.

Have you ever had a charge on your account that shouldn't be there? You call the place of that charge, they agree its a mistake and will issue a refund but said refund will take 14 business days. So you call your bank to tell them theres a mistake, and you need to dispute it to get the money back in your account now. Well, Truist does NOT do provisional credits on merchant disputes. My car note double drew on Friday… Its now Tuesday, and Truist is still telling me they dont do credits, its still in process…… Im minus a whole car notes worth of bill money for 5 days, so far, and my timeframe for a dispute is up to 90 days. This is insane logic to me, and has never been a thing at other banks. If you want a bank that has your back, this isnt the one.

I wanted to share my recent experience at the branch located at 241 Peachtree Street - Peachtree Center Atlanta GA . I scheduled an in-branch appointment with a banker to remove myself from a joint account I have with my daughter. My daughter is a new college student at Georgia State and I am teaching her how to manage her finances on her own. I had the pleasure of working with one of your bankers for our appointment. She took the time to explain the options to us both. She was incredibly thoughtful and patient. She asked really great questions to understand my daughters needs in order to offer her the best new account choice. She was able to connect with her in ways that showed the company’s true value of caring. She is a terrific example of what a great company this is and how wonderful it is to have confidence in our financial decisions.
