  Opened a new checking account Oct. 7, 2025. Left the branch and tried to set up mobile banking, I can't set up mobile banking because it's asking me for a pin. Call the phone number and was told that since the banker didn't take care of setting up my pin it would now be up to a 3 day wait as he had to create and submit a case. I decided to call back today (Oct 8, 2025) to see if anything had been fixed. Talked with Ashley who ended up actually doing 2 extra steps that the man yesterday did not do. I asked Ashley if he actually noted anything from yesterday's call and he did, but whatever case he opened and submitted was closed already and I still have no online access. So, he clearly did not do his job. I am now having to wait (again) up to 3 days to access my account online. I haven't banked with Wells Fargo in many years due to poor customer service and employees that gave wrong information in Wisconsin but thought I would give it a try again. I will be pulling my money out and closing this account as soon as I can.

  Came to get help with getting a document notarized. Instead of helping they told me no due to not having the correct form. Instead of allowing me to print it there I was turned away. Thanks for treating a long time customer this way.

  I’ve generally had a decent experience with Wells Fargo through the app, over the phone, and for basic in-person transactions. However, I have to agree with other reviewers that in-person customer service can be surprisingly rude. During a recent visit to learn more about CDs and investment options, I encountered unprofessional behavior from a Vice President at this branch. While some of the advice was helpful, her dismissive tone and passive-aggressive comments made the interaction uncomfortable. At one point, she cut me off with a sharp “let me finish,” and later remarked that she typically works with clients who have $250,000–$1 million, adding that she was only assisting me because no one else was available. Regardless of intent, statements like that are inappropriate and reflect a lack of emotional intelligence. Customers deserve respect regardless of account size. I’ll be looking to move my business elsewhere in search of better service and more respectful treatment.

  NOTICE: Wells Fargo doesn't take out pending charges from merchants immediately. They won't update your balance either until the merchants transaction clears in 3 days. Be careful, this can lead too you spending money you dont have, getting overdrawn, and hit with a huge overdraft fee. If money is something you like, keep it out of the banks by carrying cash, silver, precious stones and gold. I know it doesnt, But it should.
