Initially, they assured me everything would be handled and I appreciated that they acknowledged the issue. However, things went downhill from there. Instead of helping, Truist made the situation worse by deducting the fraudulent amount a second time as a so-called "security precaution." Now, my account is in the negative, and I'm being told it won't be restored for over a week. This is completely unacceptable, especially given the circumstances. I understand that security measures are necessary, but this mishandling has left me financially stranded and frustrated. Truist’s poor communication and slow resolution process have only added to the stress of an already difficult situation. I expected better, especially during a crisis.
