I really needed to open up a new checking & savings account before I left for a 2 week business trip, so I took some time off from my very business schedule to drive the 20 minutes to the nearest Truist bank to me. When I got there I found a completely empty lobby and two works sitting behind the counter both on their computers and neither was helping any one. After being ignored for a little bit I finally interrupted one of the workers from their computer to ask if I can open an account. She cheerfully replied “no, there is no one here who can help you”. I asked why because I took time off work to do this and she cheerfully replied “we are too busy to help you, please come back another time”. I asked one more time for help because I can clearly see that there is no one else here, to which the worker just asked for my ID and personal information, including my social security number. Thinking that she was actually going to help me open an account, I provided her the information that she requested. After I had gave all this personal information to the worker, she then told me that “someone will call me from their corporate office” & to “please leave”, still in her cheerful voice. At this point I did leave the bank as this seemed extremely suspicious/shady that a bank would take such personal information of mine down & then refused to help in trying to open up an account with them. I’m not sure why it appeared that this bank wanted to discriminate against me, but I will be filing a complaint to the state of Florida for this. It truly does not seem ethical for a bank to ask for my ID, take down my social security number & then refuse to help me and ask me to leave with out a reasonable cause.

Been banking w/ BB&T my whole life. I’ll never go back to this location. The teller was unprofessional and rude. I came to make a cash deposit and wasn’t welcomed, asked “how are you?” and got ignored. I deposited 9.5K bc I’m about to buy my first home. The teller immediately took my money behind the counter without counting, then told me it was only 9K after running it thru money printer. My other bank, Chase, counts it right in front of you. I was sure it was 9500. Went back to recount my money 3 times and realized I was $500 short. Manager claimed to have checked the cameras and said no foul play involved. I would feel more convinced if I also saw the video. After reading the other awful reviews, it doesn’t shock me at all. I didn’t just “misplace” $500. I will be withdrawing my funds from this bank.
