    Went here Friday am with my 18 yr old daughter, who is a new freshman at Florida State, and just moved here from Colorado. We deposited money in cash to open an account for her, and they somehow managed to put it in somebody else’s account so that she has no access to her own money. They said it would be 3 to 10 business days before they can unwind it. Avoid this branch and bank at all costs! This is fundamental banking negligence, gross incompetence and tantamount to fraud. UPDATE: branch manager was able to escalate and get provisional funds deposited late Monday evening while they work to reverse the deposit they made into someone else’s account. Appreciate the help, but not a good first experience… between us we spent 4+ hours on phone to make it happen. Hoping subsequent interactions are better, but back office systems clearly need some work. Would also expect a little more than “we’re sorry” for having to go through this. Updating from 1 to 2 stars.

    First and foremost, I would like to acknowledge Ms. Brittney at the Tharpe location, despite my frustrations with this banking process... She has been the ONLY person that has not lied to me and that has been honest. I was told numerous lies to get me to open an account. Every time I come in here it's some bs. I was lied to and told there was a way to get EIN only funding for a new business... Lie. I was told that as long as I had an account many services (that I have yet to see is in fact) available to me... Lie... I was also told there was a $400 bonus when you open a new business account... LIE!! I called the CS, and the lady said there was no record of the bonus bc of some code? WHOLE TIME we set up the account thru the link... How can y'all not keep up with the slowest tasks?? The older lady at the branch stay taking other bankers appts which is aggravating... Bc imagine being well into your process for a service. And here she comes and need a whole run down on what's going on rather than let folks wait on their banker... She was very dismissive and uninformative. And for someone that has that much "seniority" at this branch but can't tell me the third-party credit source they go thru for the credit applications is wild and then tried to hurry me away when my questions were not getting answered because she kept saying "I dont know that information" not even fully hearing me out before she would interrupt me trying to say, "the financial dept handles that". I asked to speak to someone in the financial dept so i could get my questions answered, she claimed theres no one onsite or i couldnt speak to them. They love passing the explanation around to others when no one knows much useful information. These bankers need more in-depth information on these accounts and services WF offers... Instead of literally READING the same paragraphs I read and can also read myself!! Be fr rn! I literally go to other branches to not be aggravated by some of the tellers here... WHOLE TIME any location that you go to be under informed like come on now do better. Im so sick of WF rn im bout ready to close this account!!

    Would like to thank Miss Jones for her positive attitude and wonderful customer service unfortunately Friday morning 6/6/25 at 9:30 her coworker(at the counter) was one of the rudest individuals and racist people I have dealt with in a public place of business. Coworker was so rude to me, but the person next in line African-American she was the nicest person to. So think about where you’re doing business I’ll be closing my account and going somewhere else. Sad to see this after 29 years at this bank.

    I sent my daughter to this branch, which proved to be a significant misstep. Upon her arrival, the staff informed her that she was unable to deposit cash into my account. Subsequently, they inquired about paying the bill I had there, but they requested my account number. I informed them that I did not have it and suggested using my Social Security number, which she declined. I have successfully used my Social Security number for numerous transactions in the past. When I attempted to speak with her on the phone, she refused. I then requested her name, but she refused to provide it. My daughter noticed the name tag on her uniform, which read “Jayden.” I am uncertain if that is the correct spelling. However, she proceeded to remove her name tag, which is highly concerning. It is unacceptable for a bank employee to handle customer funds without identifying themselves and then remove their name tag. As a result of this experience, I will not be returning to this branch and am considering switching banks altogether. Despite being a loyal member for many years, the quality of the employees at this bank is extremely poor and downright unpleasant.
