  Sarah , Amanda , and Lisa are absolutely amazing. The Stuart branch is one of the best banking branches of any bank I've ever used. This is a business bank, they know business ! I very rarely ever give reviews, Sarah and the team always go above and beyond. They deserve more than five stars !!

  I was in communication with Scott Powers but he was unwilling to help me in my darkest hour of my father’s sudden and dramatic passing. After my father passed away I turned my focus to my family and healing during a very difficult time and I didn’t check my business bank account daily. Unbeknownst to me, I had overdrafted my account multiple times. I NEVER received a single email or text from FirstCitizens… I have 2 accounts with WellsFargo, 2 with USAA, and 2 with PNC so you can see how I might have let this happen during an emergency, all of which send texts and emails when an account is overdrawn. I had over $2000 in overdraft fees and Scott was unwilling to refund a single fee! It was negligence on my part but under the extraordinary circumstances I believe that some leniency should have been allowed. I had to run in woods searching for my father with my husband, screaming his name into the night until I lost my voice and every part of my body ached. My father went missing in Hungry Lands on a hike, you probably saw it on the news… then I had to give the eulogy in front of 200 people. It was a very hard time in my life and I was hoping that FirstCitizens would have some mercy. I closed out my accounts and advise you to use an other bank like WellFargo, USAA, or PNC.

  I recently opened accounts with FCB after frustration with Chase and I love the personal attention that is their cornerstone of operations. Sarah and her team are wonderful! They truly make you feel like you're getting concierge banking.

  My partner and I were seeking to refinance a large tract of land for development, and our local bank referred us to Steve Watters, the President of First Southern Bank. After speaking with Steve, my partner mentioned that this was the kind of business First Southern Bank was expanding into Florida. However, I was skeptical that any bank would consider our loan request because of the current market conditions. To clarify our options, we arranged a conference call with Steve and VP President Dawn Smith. They expressed their eagerness to work with us and agreed to provide a cash-out refinance, enabling us to acquire more surrounding property. We submitted weeks' worth of paperwork to Dawn and even ordered an appraisal to speed up the process. Unfortunately, we received disappointing news three days later. The bank informed us that they could only refinance and not provide cash out. I was discouraged by the amount of effort we had put in, only to be turned down. It made me even more inclined to pay cash and avoid banks or First Southern Bank in the future.
