Me and my wife went into the 1st Ave N branch to open an account because my new employer has their account with them. We walked in and was aggressively greeted with a curt " What can we do for you"? We told to have a seat. Senior relationship banker Ruben was arrogant, curt, and seemed disinterested in helping. He said my previous account with Suntrust needed to be address and wrote down a phone number on a sticky note and said called this number because we cannot help you on this end. Did not even try to help with the situation. He could care less if we opened an account or not. I do not recommend this Bank. Borderline racist experience đ đĄ

Customer service was terrible. Was thinking of switching to this Bank. After today, with how I was treated. Not a chance.

Worst bank ever. They don't know how to process something but swear that they do. Tried to say I needed to pay for something that I didn't. And one teller that was extremely sarcastic. I went to another Truist and they processed my transaction immediately. No fee.

Stingy, greedy bank with lots of fees. Was a member since 2014 when it was BBT. Wanted to close 1 checking account with attached Truist cc but could only close the cc first as I was told I had to wait until the payment to the cc went through. Emptied my checking in preparation to close it after the waiting period for paying off the cc (per Truists process). 2 days later the bank auto paid a $0 balance on my already paid off cc. Checking account was then drafted $36 causing a huge mess and a -$56 in the checking plus now a $20 credit on the cc I just paid off to close it. Went into this branch for support and branch leader Rosemary said Iâll call you on Monday or Tuesday. No phone call, called her to follow up, left a message etc. nothing. Looking back she was just trying to get me out brushing the situation off in a nice way with âIâll call youâ. No one took cared of the situation, online nor in person. I decided at that point to close every account my husband and I had which was 4 plus 4 ccs. One of them having automatic payments coming in every month. Huge loss for the bank due to being greedy with their fees and poor customer service.
Side note, as I was waiting in the branch to be âhelpedâ, someone came in and said âIâm here to close my accountâ.
Go to Chase instead, customer service and lack of bank fees are worth it! They are 10X better!
