I called the fraud line and after waiting 15 minutes or so a support person came on from the Philippines. She did not understand my problem and I got upset. I went to the branch and proceeded to belittle the bank to the manager Christine. She took me into her office and very calmly looked into my problem while I continued to grumble and blame. It turns out that what I thought was the bank missing fraud, was overdraft protection on my checking account. I am writing this review to apologize to Christine as I was way out of line and she was VERY professional. We are traveling to Greece soon and wanted to open a checking account in order to use their currency exchange service. This branch is grossly understaffed. We waited in line for 15 - 20 minutes to see the single teller. Behind the teller we saw TWO cars pull up to the window and leave in frustration…so much for quick drive through. When we finally saw the teller, he said it would be a 30 minute wait for us to open an account! Unbelievable that Truist treats potential customer in this manner. Avoid this bank as their customer service is poor and wait times are ridiculously long. Btw, we’ll just get some Euros at an ATM in the Athens airport.
