In addition, he never tells my wife the account will close if the direct deposit from ssi isn't received in 45 days. He does say the direct deposit is fine to meet $500 deposit requirement. He did not tell my wife to make a $10 deposit so account will not close if any ssi delays. Of course ssi is delayed due to several errors on the employee there. Finally ssi is going to make their direct deposit, only to find out that td bank CLOSED THE ACCOUNT. We didn't receive any notice. If the employee at td had simply said to make a small deposit into the new checking account, the direct deposit from ssi, which my wife has been working on since May, would have been done. Now, since td bank closed account, my wife has to make a new appointment with ssi, open a new td bank account, and depending on when she can be seen by ssi , the bank closure of account, has caused major problems, with a delay in ssi direct deposit to an unknown date. Opened account in May, now July 17th, and now need new ssi appointment to set up direct deposit. We may receive ssi funds by Christmas the way things are going. Td bank employee needs training on account opening and disclosures. Should not be on floor until he is fully trained. Now, we have not received the ssi direct deposit to pay my sons dental bills, doctor's bills,etc. He is 100% disabled , and counted on td bank. They let him down.
