    On the morning of August 28, 2025, an incident occurred at this Valley Bank location that was handled in a manner we find deeply concerning. The treatment displayed toward a colleague was dismissive, hostile, and far below the level of professionalism expected from a financial institution. Additionally, the fact that the notary also serves as the branch manager presents a serious conflict of interest and raises valid concerns regarding impartiality when disputes involve her directly. As a professional organization that relies on banks to manage business accounts and client needs, we view this type of conduct as unacceptable. Customers should never feel dismissed, invalidated, or placated with statements such as “I’m sorry you feel this way” in response to legitimate concerns. Incidents like this cause us to question our confidence in this branch, and in Valley Bank as a whole. Professionalism, respect, and accountability must be the standard for all customers—without exception.

    The incident I experienced at this Valley Bank location on the morning of August 28, 2025, was absolutely unacceptable. The staff were not only rude and stuck up, but completely dismissive of me as a customer. What makes matters worse is the clear conflict of interest in having the notary also serve as the branch manager, as this makes her impartial—especially when she is directly involved in a situation. When I attempted to call later in the day to address what occurred, I was once again met with hostility. Rather than being treated like a valued customer, I was dismissed, offered excuses for the behavior I experienced, and placated with a statement such as “I’m sorry you feel this way.” This was not about how I “felt” — it was the actual treatment I received, both in person and over the phone. As a professional in property management who maintains several accounts with Valley Bank, I find this level of service deeply concerning. After today’s experience, I am seriously considering transferring my accounts to an institution that truly values its customers and their business. No customer in 2025 should feel that the way they are being treated is influenced by age or race. This experience was unprofessional, dismissive, and beneath the standard of any bank that claims to care about its clients.
