I went through the drive-thru and clearly wrote down two requested transactions, one for $400 and another for $239. The teller didn’t ask any questions, which I took to mean she understood my instructions. Instead, she handed me two envelopes: one with $239 and another with only $160. When I asked where the rest of the money was, she insisted she had given me the full $639. That was absolutely not the case. I was shocked and upset, and had to go inside to resolve the issue. Inside, the same teller was dismissive and rude, claiming I hadn’t specified what I wanted. That’s simply not true, I had written it down. Isn’t reading and verifying transactions a basic part of a teller’s job? I won’t be returning to this location. Truist needs to seriously re-evaluate their training standards and customer service protocols.
