  The tellers and the managers do not know what rate lock is. They also told me the online could not be accessed on weekends. I opened a CD with a rate lock online. Had to wait a few days to fund it. They emailed me Info, account number etc. When I went back to finish with Zak they said I had to answer questions , why I already had an account. They wanted to send me a code to phone and I said I didn't know how to go to code and get back to them. Asked them to send code by email to my computer and the said they don't do email??? What bank doesn't do email. Then they said I had to answer 5 questions . One was when did I buy my house. It was over 40 years ago so I didn't know exat date. I failed there test. Was told I would have e to go to the branch. When I did the lobby teller argued with me and said she had never heard of a CD with a rate lock. I showed her on my phone that I had an account set up with a number. She then called someone who also had never heard of rate lock. A manager came over who also never heard of rate locks. Told them I had done it before with my financial advisor for annuities. Finally I said just give me my money and I will never use this bank again and will tell all I can how unintelligent they are and to not go to that bank. Finally she gave me a cashiers check.

  Well, where do my husband and I begin ? There aren’t enough superlatives to describe the positive experience we’ve encountered at Bank OZK. Chris Ott and her incredible team are not only professional, brilliant and accomplished but touch that with kindness, a caring spirit with a personal touch ! Quite a combination. We would recommend this bank to anyone looking beyond the “ business as usual bank mentality!”

  An unusual story about a great banker, I met Chris Ott a few months ago by accident while having dinner at the Salt Rock Grill. I was eating dinner when I turned and accidentally knocked a drink on the lady sitting at the next table. That's when I figured the end was near, to my surprise the lady was very polite and offered to buy me another one. We struck up a conversation Chris told me she worked for Bank OZK as Vice President/ Branch Manager at Belcher Road North. Chris asked me if i would be interested in banking with a good bank. I asked her about the interest rates on money market accounts which were great, I asked her to stop by my business O'Dell Trailers in Largo to talk with my son maybe we would move all our business accounts as well. Chris stopped by talked with Jim Jr. and we agreed to move the accounts to Bank OZK, Chris worked out all the details and opened the accounts in no time at all. Banking with a bank that cares about you is hard to find these days. If you value Old Fashioned Banking with someone who cares I can't say enough good things about Bank OZK and all their employees. I've stopped at several OZK branch's in the area and they all have been very pleasant do business with. If your not happy with your current bank I would recommend giving Chris Ott a call. Tell her O'Dell sent you. And then you be the judge they are the best. JRO
