Unfair and disrespectful comments that were not only inappropriate but also appeared to be rooted in racial bias. This kind of behavior is unacceptable and reflects poorly on your institution. This woman has been a positive force in our community, creating employment opportunities and supporting our elderly citizens to live with dignity. Her contributions deserve respect and recognition—not discrimination or bias. I was genuinely embarrassed upon hearing the comments made, especially considering we are now in 2025, a time when we should have moved beyond such prejudices. Furthermore, the request for her to withdraw money from her own business to secure a loan is puzzling and unacceptable. Since when has a bank required such a "bribe" for loan approval? Our community banks should serve all members equitably—regardless of gender, race, or background. If a particular loan product is unavailable to her, then she should be offered alternative options for which she qualifies. I urge you to send a formal apology to this woman promptly, and to review your lending practices to ensure they are fair, transparent, and inclusive. If the bank is not willing to serve the entire community impartially, then it should reconsider its role within our neighborhoods.

While I understand that lenders must assess risk thoroughly before approving any loan, I found it utterly unacceptable to be told directly that I am considered a high risk for a loan. To clarify, my personal and business credit history is excellent. I am a U.S. citizen with substantial assets, and my debt levels do not exceed my revenue; in fact, my cash flow is consistently strong and timely, meeting and often surpassing your bank’s stated requirements. Furthermore, my business is well established and thriving, having operated successfully for many years. It is surprising to me that despite all these facts, the corporate office deemed my business “high risk.” When I discussed the purpose of the loan with your representative, I was met with dismissiveness. The representative reviewed my file and then stated that the bank does not provide loans to pay for existing debt. I found this response both dismissive and contradictory to my understanding of typical bank lending policies. When I inquired if the representative was familiar with the bank’s own lending policies, there was no satisfactory answer provided. This experience has left me deeply disappointed, not only with the handling of my loan application but also with the apparent lack of professionalism and respect shown throughout the process. As a member of the community, I feel compelled to urge others to reconsider banking with your institution. Others, such as Suncoast Credit Union or Bank of America, maintain far higher standards of customer service and fairness. It is important to remember that people should be treated equally regardless of race, color, or origin. I would expect your bank, as stated in its mission statement, to preach and practice fairness and equality in all dealings. This experience suggests a significant gap between your stated principles and actions. Wasted my time and have my credit check for no valid reason.
