- TCThomas CrockerOct 29, 20251.0I do not recommend this bank. Tried calling branch for over a year and keep getting call center and told by call center need to talk to branch. Told they must be on the phone and after it ringa a few times goes to call center. So i went to branch set right in from of the service rep and there was no one on the phone and called them handed the phone to service rep and went right to call center. IF YOU CANT GET HOLD OF BRANCH OFFICE THEY MIGHT JUST AS WELL CLOSE IT, I WOULD THINK. This has been going on for years. I have better luck with Pay Pal.

South State should have kept those employees instead to laying them off and transfer them to Milton and layed Milton off. Milton you are not greeted. They act like you are a bother.

They will rob you to your face, for example they waited until I withdrew cash to have a bill go though so they could get the overdraft payment. Don’t go with them, they have horrible customer service and wasn’t willing to help. I have been disappointed with this bank again and again. I urge anyone looking at this bank to look for anything other than South State. Surely disappointed!
