  I had an issue with a CD cashout check that was never mailed to me and I have been chasing this with CSRs over the phone and chats through mobile apps and finally I gave up after 15 days and I decided to book an appointment in closest branch (2 hrs and 45 mins drive from my home). I picked the banker name randomly and to my luck it was Mr. George Corbin; At the begining I explained to him the situation and he answered since "you done this online there is nothing I can do here at the branch" so at this point I was about to explode and he probably noticed my frustration so he said let me take a look. He pulled my account and saw the history of all my communications with CSRs and their supervisors then he realized what a mess Citibank operations is and he had to save the reputation of this 150 yrs old bank. To my surprise George got a small notebook out of his bag and started calling Citi Operations directly then they put him to same Citi Priority queue I get and he realized there is no hope in this number 😀 Then he dialed another number and picked Spanish language as according to him they might help us better , and he was right. I only know two words in Spanish Hola and Comestas , estoy bien so George with his fluency in Spanish starterd tracking my CD check with the operations team till he got me a reference number to trace my check in my next call with CSRs something I failed to get on the phone or chats after more than dozen attempts. Still did not get my money or the check but walked out of Mr. George Corbin feeling releived that there are still good bankers at this 150 yrs old bank that carry the tradition and put customer first. Unfortunately I live too far from Mr. George branch otherwise I would have moved my banking to his branch and entrusted him with all of my services. Final word to Mrs Jane Fraser, fix your channels first (digital, call center and ops) before getting rid of physical branches. There is no replacement to the trust that Mr. Corbin built with a disgruntled customer in 15 mins no matter how much you invest in tech and AI. Thank You!! Goerge for carrying the banner of this "used to be" great bank and protecting its legacy.

  George Corbin nos atendió excelente. Un ser humano cálido, cercano, agradable, diligente. Nos dio todas las herramientas para la gestión que hicimos. Pensé que en este país las cosas eran difíciles pero este señor es un amor. Que Dios lo siga sorprendiendo. Muchas gracias
