I was there to open a new account (on my lunch hour)and was told I needed to make an appointment. The staff looked and treated me like I had just committed a crime by just showing up without an appointment. There was only one other customer in the lobby. I may be old school but for decades a customer could show up at the branch lobby and was treated with great service and felt welcomed. I know this because I worked in the banking industry for over a decade. I am trying to open an account and give you my money and I am being told I have to come back with an appointment. The teller was rude. The manager was rude. I was told it takes an hour to open a new account? It was obvious your employees were not willing to help me. Wells Fargo - you need to send out notifications to your customers and potential customers NOT to enter the branch unless you have an appointment.
