Eglin Federal Credit Union is a member-owned financial institution serving Okaloosa, Santa Rosa and Walton counties since 1954.
EFCU has nine branches and more than 40 local ATMs. Two on-base branches serve Eglin AFB, Hurlburt Field, Duke Field and 7th Special Forces Group. Seven community branches assist members in Crestview, Destin, Fort Walton Beach, Mary Esther, Navarre, Niceville-Bluewater Bay and the surrounding areas.
Membership is open to active duty and retired service members and their families; employees of more than 700 local businesses and organizations; and anyone who lives, works or worships in north Okaloosa county.

The Credit Union offers home equity loans and conventional mortgages with financing available in seven Florida counties. - CTChris TrostelDec 9, 20221.0Worst customer service ever. I literally got the door shut and locked on me as I was walking in. The (hostess?) looked me in the eye, gave a halfway smirk and said sorry we're closed as she locked the door. Sure it's friday evening, I get that. I was there just before 5. Normally I wouldn't even try to go inside but my debit card decided it doesn't want to work so I had no choice. Now I have no access to my money until Monday morning - assuming they'll actually help. I do a lot of business with Eglin. Maybe I'll start looking elsewhere. I feel like literally any other institution would be better than this one.

- MRMark RiveraApr 29, 20221.0Since the passing of my father who loved this bank, they have never been very helpful. He bought car insurance on his Eglin loan which was supposed to pay off the loan in the event he passed. The insurance claimed pre-existing conditions on a heart attack. I reached out to Eglin FCU for help but they stated they only sold the insurance and couldn't help. They should have offered some guidance or maybe they should stop peddling the insurance. Recently I received an insurance check for repairs to my late father's house. Unfortunately, the insurance company made it out to him. They never updated the name. Not Eglin FCU's fault, Eglin told me I needed to get it made out to the estate. I understood and got the check recut. I come back and am told that having it in the estate name will not work. I need to get an estate EIN. I get the EIN and return to the branch. I have the EIN paperwork and the Order of Summary Administration. Apparently the order is insufficient. At this point I have no idea why I'm still with Eglin FCU. They aren't very helpful and I should have cut ties with them when my father did

I’ve gotten my moms debit card for her for years because she lives in a city with no EFCU bank. I’m on her account for that reason. I recently went in to get a debit card for her & was turned around. No apology, no different route to go about getting the card, just sat there & gave me a shoulder shrug. Whoever the lady is at the front desk, has HORRIBLE customer service skills. Maybe she should be moved to janitorial staff.
