One teller in the location I had to stand and wait for her to finish with her personal phone call during working hours unacceptable.

Zero integrity or ethics. I deposited a check using their app and they are holding my money for 14 business days for no reason. I called right away to cancel the deposit and was told they can't. So I told them to close my account they said "that can't be done while transactions are pending". Lol I asked myself would they lend anyone $3,000 dollars for 20 days interest free No Chance. If I can save one person from Banking here I've done my job. Terrible Bank. Deposit was made on the 3rd. The funds were out of my boss's account on the 4th , so they are using my money to advance their business until the 19th. While I suffer.

Just sharing some info for anyone that may have an account(s) with Truist that may only have deposit activity but no withdrawal activity to save them from the headache I have encountered. Despite having incoming activity (deposits), Truist will put your account in a dormant status after 12 months (to the date) if no withdrawal (outgoing activity) was made and they will not tell you they are doing so. Therefore, if you decide to pay something out of that account and have it drafted, despite the money being there and the incoming deposit activity, they will return that debit (check or ACH) as ACCOUNT CLOSED. You also will not be able to use the ATM to withdrawal the money either. Oh...wait, my favorite part, the branch manager will call as a courtesy check-in to talk about the new ATM a month or so before the account goes dormant and, despite telling her that you don't use the account very often, she will not think to give you a heads up about their 12 month dormant status rule. Oops, dang it, I can't use that new ATM! I should also mention that you will NOT get any notification whatsoever about your account going dormant. No paper notification. No email notification. Nothing. None. You can still access the account via the mobile app everyday and there is nothing that states your account is dormant - not even on the monthly bank statements. It is hidden only for Truist employees to see. 👀I hope this information helps someone before you too, lose all patience with their favorite line: "you were given the service agreement that provided that information when you opened the account and when the bank became Truist". Look, I am sure all banks do this but the fact that they keep it a complete secret after they've marked your account dormant is really poor customer service. I know that Grow Financial will give you a heads up about your account possibly going dormant a few months ahead of time - they don't keep it a secret. I mean, they will kick you out of your online banking so you for sure know something is up - Way to go Grow Financial! In any case, if you still elect to go with Truist for your banking needs, make sure to bring your reading glasses, something to drink and/or munch on, so you can sit in the branch managers office and read the font size 8 typed, 38-page service agreement so you will know all the ins and outs of their banking practices before opening that account, otherwise... sshhhh it's a secret. đŸ€

Given what's going on in the current environment, this being a small office, and the amount of staff they have... I think this Branch and it's staff are doing an amazing job!
