Went to this location in hopes of making a deposit and getting a new debit card. Unfortunately The teller was rude and talked to me like I was dumb when I asked if a temp card they gave me until the new one is recieved in the mail can be used online. I get home with the temp card to pay rent only for it to bounce with reason it’s not an active debit card. I called Truist and they say they can’t activate it as they don’t have record of the temp card being given to me. The old lost card is still active. I love Truist but the customer service needs to step it up. It’s hard to trust an establishment that is rude but most importantly doesn’t follow through with promises.

I set up an account with Truist last year while I was in the process of purchasing a home. Every experience has been 5 STARS except for the one today. I went to the branch on Baymeadows Road to transfer money from a prepaid debit card to my checking account and encountered the worst customer service ever. First, I was told to go outside and use the ATM for this transaction. I replied I never used the ATM to transfer money into my account before. After I explained to her step by step how the procedure was done the last several times then she says with an attitude "You want a cash advance!" Next, she asked how much I wanted to deposit. When I told her the amount, she then proceeded to ask another teller to look at her computer screen. When the other teller looks at the screen she says it doesn't matter what amount is being deposited then asks her why she even pulled that up on her computer. At this point, I see she is trying to make this transaction as difficult as possible. For what reason I do not know. Finally, after attempting the cash advance she says I exceeded my daily withdrawal limit. She then hands me my driver's license and walks away. From my past experience with Truist I know I can only make one attempt per day. She never informed me that I couldn't try again. She just rudely walked away and went back to her station. The other teller asked me if it was a prepaid debit card and before I could answer the rude teller quickly said no. I informed her that it was a prepaid debit card. I don't remember her name but she has an unforgettable birth mark on her chin.

The manager of this branch has no knowledge of the customer being first. Made me wait extended amount of time to sign a check. Then gave me some B.S. that I needed something else to get her signature. B.S. I went to another branch with no questions. I also felt she was being Racest toward me. I will never go there again.

I've had a host of trouble with Suntrust. Rampant fraud transactions requiring the closure and transfer of several accounts in a row, invalid maintenance fees for checking accounts that were linked to direct deposit accounts and were supposed to have a waived minimum balance, experience with their customer service 800 number ranging from acceptable to mediocre to awful, and very inconsistent service at local branches.
Nonetheless, I'm giving this branch four stars because they have one particularly outstanding employee, Iva Tabaku, who has provided wonderful customer service for me and my wife. She persistently helped us through all of these difficulties and proactively assisted with a number of other issues. She almost single-handedly turned the horrific problems we were having around.
When it comes to customer care, Ms Tabaku is an excellent exception in an otherwise disappointing banking experience and one of the few reasons we haven't been more rapid to switch to another bank.
