Open an account hadn't been open long my money's in that account my social security check is going to that account and they said it would be for to 5 days under review so I won't be able to access my money to pay my bills or anything I should have read the reviews before the beginning with this Bank. Don't even have much money in the account I don't understand why it's under review.
- JCJohnny CarterFeb 14, 20255.0Recently opened a MMA with a cashier's check and was told "new" accounts have to wait 5 biz days for access. I had 2 issues with this policy. First and foremost, I was told AFTER the account setup, and even though All bank literature (this includes online and new account pamphlets, AND an 8x10 business notice regarding new accounts which is directly in one's line of vision) clearly states cashier's checks are available the first business day after an initial deposit. I, of course, asked the manager why the blatant contradiction between verbal and written policy as false advertising issues seem to be of little concern at Everbank. I was again told new accounts were held to different standards........ Ok, well could we please get that fact in writing please because I had every intention of waiting the hold out and immediately taking my business elsewhere.... However, I cannot remember ever bring treated so respectfully and patiently while I continued to debate what I felt was a huge concern regarding my funds. Eventually I relented, but I was assured every attempt would be made to ensure my satisfaction. Before I write a novel lol, let me say that my manager called the issuing bank to verify the cashier's check had cleared and it actually had not. He asked that I come back later and he called again and it had cleared. He immediately contacted a supervisor and explained everything, and he had the hold lifted early and I was able to access my account. In my opinion isn't this the type of service and personal attention we all struggle to find. I'm a word ... YES!!! Everbank WILL be my bank now and always. Thank you for caring.
