  Bank doesnt even keep bankers hours. You get off work at 5 on Friday , traffic is backed up and bank drive thru closes at 530.. closed on Sat and Sun.. cant get money until 9 am Monday and you have to be at work before that... how hard is it to be open 9 to noon on Saturday.. they said no one wanted to work.. awe booo hooo... too many people looking for work for that lame excuse!

  Never bank there. People with disabilities are scammed and ignored. The Homestead Branch counter rep keyed in the wrong account number thus leaving the credit card payment unpaid. The receipt shows it was paid. Family member called to have it corrected since her name was on the checking account and they wouldn't correct it. Instead of fixing the problem over the phone the customer is told to go back. This customer does not have a car. The bank rep was given the correct account number, in person, in which to take out the Credit card pmt. It was their error but they won't own up to it. Don't get a credit card with South State Bank. You can't speak to the branch manager because their calls go to a call center. As soon as I get the receipt I will post the rep that caused so much trouble. Thank you Keith, ( another bank rep) for trying to help, at least you answered the phone and called me back!!. All they have to do is take the funds from the correct account and pay the credit card bill as directed by the customer. The rep and manager at customer care was given exact time of day and date the error on their part was done. They expect the customer to pay credit card late fees, interest, and walk miles back to the bank to fix the reps error. I wonder how many more people this happens to. This customer has lost trust in this bank and doesn't want to use their credit card. No wonder this bank rates a 3.

  It’s a joy banking with South State in Homestead on Krome. They always go the extra mile in order to help and facilitate your needs. It has to do with the culture that has been implemented by the manager Rodrique and his assistant manager Elisa. Those two are magnificent leaders. They lead by example and set the bar high. They have made every employee in the branch true dedicated knowledgeable ambassadors of excellence banking and southern hospitality

  Went thru the drive through at about 2 pm on 5/12/2020 talked to Kathy because I had an issue with my debit card and asked by Kathy what was happening and I told her and asked for my card to be canceled and issue another one .She came back and told me there would be a $5.00 charge I said it was fine .Then she came back and said we can't give you another because this is working I told her is giving a problem at Public supermarket mind you I'm 65 yrs old and getting stressed out she's changing the story at every turn .Last but not less she tells me to come back around again into the business lane that by then had 8 cars waiting .I told her this wasn't acceptable and Please return my ID and card and I called the corp office and spoke to Jennifer which reached out to that branch to see what happened and came back 15 minutes later that she couldn't reach anyone there because they wouldn't pickup the phone.She canceled my card and issued another .Thats all I wanted to begin with .I would never recommend this bank to anyone and as soon as I can change banks I will .All thanks to Kathy .Maury Herrera Sr
