  Wasted an hour trying to make an international wire transfer of funds to be told first, that the transaction requires 1-2 days to convert dollars to euros, then instead of converting the currencies, that I can send dollars and have them converted automatically, and finally that I can't even complete the transaction until the staff member with the capacity to do so arrives after 3pm. Completely inept staff and a total loss of time. I would expect banks in the 21st century to be a little more organized and efficient.

  I don't know what the policy is when the internet goes down, but when you want to make a large cash deposit and they can't process it because the internet is down, really doesn't make sense to me. How did banks process cash deposits before the internet? It seems to me that it's pretty rediculous that they can't accept a cash deposit because the internet is down. It seems to me they would rather inconvenience the customer instead of processing cash deposits like they used to maybe because of the inconvenience and labor dollars it will cost them for doing it the old fashioned way.

  Service at this Branch has been deteriorating for the past couple years. It used to be fast, friendly and efficient, but now is slow, adversarial and bumbling. Today, I went to the Drive thru to deposit a large 401k distribution check from Fidelity (check was properly endorsed and deposit slip properly filled out) and waited while the teller chit chatted with two other customers before she even acknowledged me. After waiting for some time I pressed the call button to ask what the hold up was. Teller told me she had to wait for her supervisor to OK the check. After waiting for some time again, I pressed the call button and again and asked what the problem was - she said her supervisor was on the way. When the transaction was finally completed and the deposit acknowledgement sent, the teller didn't even say thanks for banking with Wells Fargo or have a nice day like they used to. The only thing keeping my Banking with Wells Fargo is the hassle of changing several automatic deposits and reentering all the info for my electronic bill payments.
