The worst experience with a banker. I had an appointment at 10 AM. I arrived at 9:50. I told them I needed translation, and it took them about 10 minutes to get someone on the phone. There was a banker who spoke Spanish, but she seemed preoccupied with the other girls talking about everyday life. A total lack of respect. I was going to open an account with a check for over 10k. The representative who helped me, TENAJ PETIT, seemed like a newbie, but what I found illogical was that instead of putting the phone on speakerphone, we kept passing the phone around every time we had to say something. I don't know the reason, but it seemed disrespectful to me that she was laughing at the translator, without me knowing what they were talking about. Where's the transparency? I don't speak perfect English, but I understand it very well. Why, if someone who speaks Spanish is requested, why don't using the bilingual person at the bank? A total lack of professionalism. At the end, they didn't open the account for me. It's time to go to another bank that treats you with respect and dignity

I scheduled an appointment for my wife at 1:00 PM to open a new bank account. Since she had limited time during her lunch break and a meeting at 1:45 PM, I picked her up from work and we arrived at the branch 10 minutes before the appointment. We waited until 1:00 PM, but no one assisted us. A teller saw us waiting but did not ask if we needed help. At 1:10 PM, I approached the teller to ask about the banker we were scheduled to meet. The teller told me she was still on lunch. At 1:15 PM, I asked again, and the teller stepped away to check but returned saying she could not find any information. Finally, around 1:20 PM, Tenaj Petit Frere came out and asked us to come with her—without any acknowledgment or apology for being late. My wife already felt uneasy about proceeding, but I encouraged her to continue. The account opening process went smoothly until the deposit step. Tenaj directed us to use the ATM to make the initial deposit, but the machine was not working. While my wife was becoming anxious about her meeting time and i tried to hel my wife, Tenaj raised her voice, insisting my wife had to complete the procedure herself. I asked her to lower her voice and reminded her that if she had been on time, we would not be rushed. Instead of offering support, Tenaj stated that the process would take an hour anyway and said it was not yet 2:00 PM. At 1:45 PM, my wife decided she needed to leave for her meeting. Surprisingly, Tenaj told her that she would have to close the account before leaving. She then called her manager and began the account-closing process, which made my wife even more stressed about the time. This entire experience was extremely unprofessional and disappointing. It reflects poorly not only on this branch but on Wells Fargo as a whole. It is no surprise this branch has a 2.8-star Google rating—I realized this after our visit. Whether Wells Fargo chooses to take my feedback seriously or not, I cannot recommend this branch, and my confidence in Wells Fargo overall has been damaged.

I previously had a few great experiences here in 2024. That ended. I don't want to have to make an appointment to sit and chat with a customer service person in a branch for 6 minutes but, that's apparently what needs to occur here and it actually every other Wells Fargo branch in Fort Lauderdale that I have encountered. There are 4 local branches that are desperately understaffed. This is one of them. I've walked into 3 WF branches in the past 2 weeks. My issue is not an emergency but trying to get what I need online is futile. Additionally, I gave up on speaking to anybody on the phone. It's just not worth the frustration. Actually, none of this is anymore so I researched other local banks. I visited 2 and they actually have people in the bank to assist you and that has become priceless and defining. I've been with WF for many years but I'm eager to go.

I do not recommend going to this Wells Fargo or being a Wells Fargo account holder at all. A customer service representative named Jessica was totally incompetent. Unable to verify me even though I had online access and could answer every question about my account, she made me wait and wait. Total waste of time. I could not complete my business transaction. There are many other banks where they have competent employees with much better customer interface.
