Terrible customer service. I had a terrible encounter with Truist’s main customer support number where the girl kept telling me my card was being locked and I kept requesting her to not lock the card. After our confusing conversation I decided to call the Flagler Beach branch just to confirm my account was not locked and that I could still utilize my card. The woman who answered told me she could not help me unless I came into the branch. I work 9am-5pm Monday - Friday so that is not an option for me until Friday. Which, if the card is locked would mean 5 days of not being able to make any purchases or payments. I asked if was able to confirm my account was unlocked in person, and she said she could help me, but not over the phone. If I want over the phone help I need to call the main Truist customer support - which was the reason I had to call this branch to begin with. If i wanted her help, I needed to come into the store and then she would look into my account. I hung up and I called the ormond beach branch and the lovely woman looked up my account and confirmed I was good to go in a matter of seconds.

Worst banking experience I've ever had in my life and sadly I'm still stuck in it. It's all started about 2 weeks ago. Just to get an account started. I had to go up there three times once being told to leave and come back in 30 minutes. When I got back in 30 minutes they told me they couldn't see me that day. After some debate we got my account made. During the process the branch manager who opened my account told me my government issued ID was fake with quite a bit of attitude. It in fact was not fake. Made me wait 10 minutes just for her to come back in and say well. I guess we'll just try it and see what happens. It's a Tennessee state issued driver's license. In the process you kept asking me questions about Nashville which my answer was no. I have moved to Florida. She gave me attitude said I understand you have moved to Florida and have sold your condo in Nashville. Fast forward a week. I've been waiting for my debit card every time I want money I have to go in and show him Id. First time I went to get cash the ID didn't match with the one they put in the system. She didn't believe I was me and I was fraud. She had to call my phone and do all this extra security. Well they fixed my ID. I went in and get some more cash a couple days later. Again they treated me like a criminal trying to steal money. I asked which address my card got sent to cuz I have a PO Box in a home address. Come to find out the lady that gave me attitude for telling her I'd move to Florida. Sent my card to Nashville. Fun!. So of course I got mad. Talked about opening up a new account. Lady told me they'll do better whatever. So today I have to go to a different Branch because that branch is closed. I go in and get some money out. Told the lady my situation hey still don't have a debit card. I ordered one y'all sent it to the wrong place. Lady looked at me and said we still have your addresses in Nashville as your primary address. I just laughed. So two weeks later still don't have a debit card. Don't know when I'm going to get one. I mean I don't even want to go to the bank again. I don't want to go to my own bank. Imagine how many fines I would have gotten if I messed up this many times. Also feel very discriminated against because I'm young.
