Updated: they scheduled a call with me to try to resolve the issue and it was a waste of my time they told me to go to the branch, I get to the branch for the 3rd time they said they can’t unblock an account I have to call, UNBELIEVABLE!

Someone says they will help you then walks away to deal with other customers leaving on the phone with customer service and giving you no information! This is absolutely ridiculous to happen 3 times! I will not be going to this bank ever again!!
- ZCZed CastroFeb 19, 20201.0A few weeks ago, I went to the Deerfield Citibank branch located at Hillsboro Blvd to open a personal check account. After waiting there for an hour and not being helped, I went home and opened my account online, and the next day made a large check deposit on my account and they put my deposit on hold for a week. After 10 days I used one of the check that I got from them and made a deposit at Bank of America and they told me that was going to be a 7 days hold due to some restrictions from Citibank, I went to the Branch and they told me all was well and the check would clear; it did not, it bounced and I had to pay $12 for Bank of America because of it. I had the money on my account but they failed to tell me that I could not use the checks they gave me due to some issues on they side.It is a very bad way to start. If you can, Avoid Citibank.
