- CWClifford WeissJul 19, 20241.0This use to be an excellent Bank when it was Amtrust. When we had a 7 Month CD with Amtrust we were able to add to the balance at anytime. This option was taken away under Flagstar. Also, when it was time to renew a CD, they pushed in opening a Checking account to get .010 more interest. However, we would have to open with $500 making the Interest over 13 months less. I believe the bank representative did not want to disclose this informationn to us. I calculate the difference in a matter of a minute. The representative could have done the same thing sitting at their computer. I will be now shopping for a more Customer Friendly Bank.
