I would like to give a huge thank you to Regional Bank Manager Deanna Harmer for helping me this week with notarizing an important document. She was incredibly friendly and had such a warm, welcoming personality. I’d also like to thank the wonderful teller, Destiny, for ensuring someone was available to assist me so I didn’t have to wait long to get everything taken care of. I truly appreciate the excellent customer service from both of them.

Which Wells Fargo branch has the worst customer service? Hard to determine because so many of them are terrible, but, if I had to choose one of the worst ones then the 2699 Gulf-to-Bay branch is at least in the top 5. This branch has surly tellers, who don't listen and talk down to the customer. The simplest transaction becomes an ordeal because the teller is on auto-pilot like a robot and her mind is some other place. The teller is not focused on the customer, and when the customer asks a question, the teller doesn't respond to that question but answers another question not asked by the customer. One can never trust the transaction or what is stated by the teller because even when there are no other customers in the branch, the teller is in a rush, raises her voice and does not respond to the matter at hand, requiring the customer to contact a manager to confirm that a transaction will be handled correctly. So 'Clearwater-ites' - avoid this branch at all costs because the way business is handled will raise your blood pressure and put you in a bad mood for the entire day. I, for one, will not go back to this branch ever again. It is on the top of the list for rotten customer service precisely because the tellers are zombies who, with little real work to do, phase out and go to some other place in their minds. The only 'awake' person is the manager, whose problem as always with these types is their tendency to act in a condescending, arrogant, and know-it-all manner to the customer. I guess WF is making too much money so that they don't have to worry about losing customers. The managers know this fact and act accordingly to humiliate customers they don't particularly like. Customer service in this branch is so god-awful bad, as I said, the smallest transactional query blows up into a super big problem. This place is just unreliable because of the low quality and lack of training of the personnel interfacing with the public. I give this branch an 'F'.

Have had accounts with Wells Fargo both business and personal since 2010. This is the worst branch I have ever visited. Never have I ever been to such a “by the book” type of establishment that just disregards customer service to any extent if it does not fall “within policy”. I have 7 accounts with Wells Fargo and will likely be cancelling them all due to the disservice provided. To elaborate my transaction, I did a wire to a company I do business with overseas as I do ~2-3 months. In the process of sending I did not recognize a name change to the company I work with in terms of what needs to be addressed for receiving properly. Company overseas can’t receive the funds due to incorrect name. So I work with this branch to file an amendment and correct to solve the problem. Mistakes can happen and I admit I should have caught the incorrect name, but I did not. Now as a business I receive my products from this company overseas and they cannot ship my goods until they receive the funds for products. They agreed to ship my products now if I can provide anything stating that there was an amendment done on the original wire and I can have my products enroute and keeping my business flowing as normal etc, not a big deal. After an hour on the phone with Wells Fargo wire service division I am told that this is not a document that can be provided via email as I have to be in person with ID verified. To which I understand, it’s a personal document on an account. I drive up to the branch and work with Nic. Who for the most part seems like a newly promoted manager on a power trip, but that’s besides the point. He goes through the process I went through with Wells Fargo and now tells me there is no proof of an amendment to the wire that they can provide and offers to type a letter and then after taking 15 minutes to craft and email to a compliance manager then calls him and is told - no we can’t do that. Now after eating up half my day to get a proof of amendment to a sent wire I’m at nowhere and having to wait for the wire to be finalized and cleared. Being told that document can’t be provided because it would serve as a guarantee of the payment of funds, however this is inaccurate due to the point of all this 15 minute crafted email was stating is that there was a change to the receiver of the wire. No change of account number or location. Simple name change of receiver. My biggest problem with this is that it’s my account and I cannot be given a form of proof that there was even work completed within my account. Additionally to that point there is a charge and fee associated with doing this service and I cannot even be given anything showing that work had actually been completed in MY ACCOUNT. Irregardless if this proof was also needed to provide to the beneficiary, it’s my account and information regarding my account is being withheld from me. In what way does that make sense to any extent? I have always heard people say how bad it is to have an account with Wells Fargo and I always defended it saying I’ve been there this long and hardly had any issues till now. Truthfully my issues only really arose with the new manager Nic taking over and the conversation he had with me about how they do things by the book now. I have had zero problems with Wells Fargo in any state I’ve had businesses in until this recent change in Clearwater.
