This branch is extremely unfortunate to have a manager who was transferred from The Landings branch in Sarasota. Reviews from that branch are filled complaints about her. She has been shuffled around to 6 different locations due to her negative attitude toward new clients and current ones. In my case, I wanted to open a new account which came with a $300 bonus. I had wired $5,000 into the new account the night before. As instructed, the next day, I came in to meet with a loan officer to show ID and order checks. Everything was going well until this manager barged out of her office and said I wasn't not entitled to the $300 bonus (no reason given), and she sternly instructed the loan officer to write a cashier's check to me for the $5,000 I had just wired. Without any explanation, this frenzied woman closed my new account without my permission (not legal). I spoke to Wells Fargo headquater's - the Customer Service Dept. in San Fransisco. After a few weeks they investigated the matter and agreed that her behavior was completely unacceptable. One of the agents told me that the situation was being handled and action was being taken. After a couple of months this manager was no longer with The Landings branch in Sarasota. She had been transferred to the Bradenton Branch (her 6th bank in 7 years), and now she's causing complaints again as seen below. I give the corporate headquarters great credit for moving her out of the Sarasota branch. She was running that bank into the ground, and new accounts had dropped to practically nil. This individual (C.B.) should not be managing any organization. She cannot even manage her own demeanor when dealing with customers. She appears to be repeating her patterns of the past at this Bradenton location.

AMAZING, WORLD CLASS BANKING ORGANIZATION THAT NEEDS TO BETTER MANAGE THIS BRANCH. We went here at 2:43pm on Tuesday to open a very important account. New Business!! There was no one waiting, and it appeared one “banker.” After a short wait, the banker came out to sort of greet me, appeared confused, looking at her watch, worried, and asked me my business in the foyer — then appeared unsure what to do. After reaching her office, she looked at her watch again, and I asked to open a first, new account (NEW BUSINESS). She informed me she had an appointment in 10 minutes, and wasn’t sure she could help me. Offering to wait longer, I explained the account I wanted to open (in fact, I had made the full application online so it was mostly all set up). She looked on her computer, looked at her watch, and asked me again what I wanted to do. She repeated she had an appointment in 9 minutes, and I’m sure she was trying to do something other than waste my time. I don’t know what. I was slightly in shock that a branch would treat new business like this. She wasn’t “there,” and as I looked up another branch, she offered that I could go to another branch? She offered to call the other branch and it’s’ phone number (which I already had). This poor banker. I did go to another branch, and thank the Lord I found someone with “lights on!” Stay tuned for Part II. Mr. Wells, please jump in and help this banker & branch so the bank doesn’t lose new clients.

Went to the branch for a basic account closure. Waited 15 minutes and no banker available to help. Teller was not able to perform simple task. Super short staffed, quiet and boring branch environment. Had to close account through 800 number. Why do you even have a branch there? So lame.

Strongly thinking about pulling my money out of this bank and banking with a more customer service Bank I took my time to go to this branch on Lakewood ranch and State road 70 for a cashier's check out of my business account normal business day hours and the lobby was closed drive-thru is open they said they could not give me what I needed through the drive-thru their excuse for the lobby being closed was there was a shortage of employees I find that hard to believe considering there were seven cars in the front parking lot and nobody was sitting in them that tells me there was seven employees inside the building I do not appreciate Wells Fargo holding my money hostage when I needed it the most I will definitely consider banking with another company if this is the kind of service I can expect from this point on unbelievable and now after looking at all the ratings on this particular branch I might consider moving my account elsewhere anyways poor service I would give this Branch zero ⭐ if I could

By far one of the worst blanks I’ve ever walked into. Teresa was completely useless. She refused to process a check written out by Wells Fargo.
