- HKHakan KSep 30, 20251.0I visited the Wells Fargo branch yesterday to transfer money from my business account to a team member’s Wells Fargo account. I assumed this would be a simple, no-fee transaction since both accounts are within Wells Fargo. Instead, I was told they couldn’t do it directly, and that I would need to use a personal check (which takes a few days to clear), purchase a cashier’s check with a fee, or pay $40 for a wire transfer plus a $15 incoming wire fee. Since I didn’t have my checks with me, the teller offered to print one — but even that carried a $3 charge. I was frustrated enough that I drove home to get my checks and returned to the branch to complete the transaction. For context, my family and I have held two business accounts and three personal accounts, mortgage account, credit card acocunt with Wells Fargo for over 15 years. Given that history, the experience felt unnecessarily difficult and disappointing. While the teller was polite, apologetic, and genuinely tried to help, the supervisor (I believe her name was Elena) showed no empathy or concern. When I shared that I was considering moving all of my accounts to another bank by the end of the year, her only response was “OK,” which was disheartening. As a long-time customer, I expected more flexibility, understanding, and customer care. Unfortunately, this experience has made me seriously reconsider my relationship with Wells Fargo.
