- KJKatie JunkDec 6, 20241.0Staggering incompetence at this location. I have several business accounts with Wells Fargo and scheduled an appointment to open a CD for my business. I spent 45 minutes at the branch opening the account, reiterating several times during the conversation that it was a Business CD (I have no personal accounts at Wells Fargo, so the fact that this had to be reiterated was surprising). I reviewed the accounts in my online portal when I got home, only to find that the staff had opened a Personal CD in my name, not a Business CD. When I immediately notified the branch, they closed the CD but are refusing to return the money to my account without me taking additional time to return to the branch. I have had great experiences at the Bethesda branch in the past and will never return to the Spring Valley location again. I can't even fathom that this level of incompetence is allowed to occur with people's finances.

Waited for 30 minutes listening to the banker share his personal experiences regarding snowboarding, in-line skating, his brother’s death due to a drug overdose and his distaste for Southern California because of it, while he SLOWLY tapped on computer keys. Not one word regarding the client’s financial information was discussed. Amazingly UNPROFESSIONAL.
