- JKJacqueline KimballJan 2, 20241.0I don’t do much in person banking anymore but this morning I needed to do business inside. 1/2/2024- I’m a long standing customer with Webster- this branch in particular. I walked in and waited in line. One gentleman was being served at the counter. As I’m waiting another older gentleman came in and was filling out some slips behind me. This gentleman was acknowledged by the teller with the short dark hair.( I do not know her name as there were no name signs up) I had not been greeted. I don’t believe the teller saw me standing and waiting. Never the less the teller seemed a bit disorganized and frustrated. I waited patiently. When she was ready - she pointed to me and said very loudly-“This gentleman was here before you and I will take him next!”… he was in fact not before me. I decided not to make anything of it as she embarrassed me with the way she spoke down to me and I was taken aback. The elderly customer seemed confused but cut in front of me to be served. When he was finished with his transaction the teller called me “Come on up here young lady”… “What are we doing here today?”…I happen to be 60 years old. What has happened to “How may I help you today?”… She was so rude and unprofessional -her behavior was very inappropriate. I have never been spoken to or treated this way before by anyone at this branch ever before or any Webster branch. I should have spoken up for myself but at the time it didn’t seem significant. As the day went on I continued to replay the scenario in my head and I honestly felt very mistreated but more importantly I don’t want anyone else to be treated the way I was this morning. Perhaps this woman might be better suited working in a woman’s prison as a corrections officer.

I go in there just to say hi to them. They know who i am and know about me. There are times i go in without talking about money that's how friendly they are there.
