- AVAdriana VDec 11, 20251.0I’ve been a loyal customer since 2013 with a perfect payment history, and I had just started working on bringing my score up after paying off my student loan. Instead of supporting that progress, Wells Fargo’s sudden limit cut caused my credit utilization to spike for no good reason and instantly set me back. I only found out that Wells Fargo dropped my credit limit when my card was suddenly declined. I checked my account and saw my limit had been cut from 6,000 to 3,900 overnight. To make matters worse, there was zero warning and zero transparency. No notice, no explanation, and when you try to get answers, the representatives only give vague, scripted responses that do nothing to address how this impacts real customers. It’s incredibly frustrating and honestly feels careless. I expected better treatment and clearer communication from a major bank. After this experience, I no longer feel valued as a customer and will be exploring other institutions that actually respect and support the people who bank with them. Beyond disappointed.
