- GDGeorgiana DillmanAug 23, 20251.0A few years ago when moving to the area I was instructed by KeyBank that I needed to visit a physical branch to change my name legally on my car loan. I went to this location with the necessary documentation and signed/filled out the paperwork required of me. I had a bad feeling that the manager did not know what he was doing based on a comment that was made about my marriage certificate. The information was sent into the “back office”. I gave it time and nothing had happened. I even called to follow up and was instructed to give it more time to process and the manager would also follow up. Honestly I left it on the back burner and life just happened. It was aggravating to have taken the time to drive 40 minutes out of my way to handle this and not have it properly processed. Here I am having paid off my car loan today and needing to rectify a situation that should have been handled properly then. I understand there has been some time since this occurred but I won’t lie this whole ordeal had irked me for years on how it played out. I understand that it was my responsibility to ensure I continued to followed up but when this was the closest location to me, paired along with the experience it wasn’t like I was jumping at the idea of returning back to this branch.

- FTFfej TtiggofOct 9, 20211.0Terrible Bank, closed the Chester location then the next one shut down on Saturdays so had to drive to Old Saybrook to cash a check just to have it ruined by their machine because it had a damp spot which the teller should have put tape over. Now I’m out my time and have to go through the process of getting a replacement check. If it were an inconvenience to Key I would of had late fees, overdraft charges, etc. Go to Essex Savings instead!

KeyBank customer service suggested I contact a branch to resolve a problem I have struggled for 6 months to resolve with customer service. I made an appointment, called during the scheduled time, was sent to voice mail and nobody has ever returned my message. Just a terrible company who could not care less about their customers.
