  I have been a customer for way over 28 years and in that time I have had no problems with Webster Bank until a week ago. The bank decided to merge with Sterling Bank of N.Y. That’s seemed okay until recently when they decided to update their web service platform. One Monday July 24th the bank reopened to web service with not only a new look but with all new security setups. I felt that this is a common thing when updating to a new system what I did not expect is how direct deposit and transfer of funds would now be effected as well. The previous system allowed to make transfers from Websters bank to any other bank and the transactions would always go into the non Websters account the very next day, now it take 2-3 business days. My wife’s S.S. Direct deposit did not go into the account until banking hours of 9:00 am where with the old system it showed every time at 6:00am on the day posted to the account. There now seems to be a long lag which can cause over drafts. This is a vile way for banks to make money from existing and all customers. I am considering looking for a new bank and never thought I would be looking after being a loyal customer for over 28 years!!

  Webster Bank on Whaley Street in New Haven, Connecticut 06515 has very Friendly Service They go Out Of Their Way to Help You in any Way They Can.

  Good staff ,reliable and fast service always will be recommended to anyone who want to do their transactions very fastly with out waiting. The parking is also so convenient but the atm is outside so it is not recommended to draw money outside instead draw from inside

  that on 6-18-18 i telephoned the webster bank branch to ask, if there was a notary at the branch ? they said there was , and i stopped in. the rep was very nice. i got my document notarized, and was out in 5 minutes. i do not have an account at webster, not yet. good job.
