- DSDavid M. SperlingAug 15, 20231.0Very disappointed in Webster Bank in Litchfield since its merger with Sterling. Tellers used to be very friendly and helpful. The new supervisor is bossy and disrespectful. I had $4,000 balance in my account, but he would not release funds to me in an emergency because it was "under review." I had mistakenly written a check a month earlier under a closed account, immediately replenished it, but Webster would not give me the undisputed $4,000 in my account pending a "review." Of course, no one called me for the "review." The new supervisor treated me like I was a criminal. Btw I am a lawyer (don't hold it against me) with 28 years of unblemished record. I suggest going across the street to Litchfield bank, which I did immediately. (Webster also charged me $96 for the bad check, and did not consider my request to waive part of it. Stay away from Webster, at least until they get rid of the arrogant and disrespectful supervisor
