If I could give this ATM and Wells Fargo negative stars, I would.
We made a cash deposit a few weeks ago but there was a glitch and the funds didn't post to our account. We opened an investigation and received a notice in the mail that allegedly Wells Fargo didn't find any discrepancies in the ATM log.
When my husband called Wells Fargo to talk to ATM Operations about their decision, we were told it will take 30 calendar days to send the documentation used to us and they would not hold off deducting the temporary credit because they considered the claim closed.
What is even more infuriating is ATM Operations confirmed they *did not* review the camera footage - which would have clearly shown us making the deposit. Or perhaps if the ATM spit the money out or included it in someone else's withdraw?! Of course we requested the camera footage as part of the documentation they used to make their decision - but then were told there were no guarantees this would get reviewed or that we would get access. How is this even possible?
At the end of the day, it's not like we're millionaires so Wells Fargo could likely care less if we close our accounts and move to another bank - but my husband has banked with them for like 20 years, so it's really disappointing to be treated this way. They are stealing our money. Honestly, regardless of how long you're a customer somewhere, no one deserves to be treated like this.
Whether this issue gets resolved in our favor or not, this is a hard lesson learned that it's best to handle your deposits inside the bank.
