- BBBrianMay 7, 20205.05++ - I am a recently retired engineer and former local business owner in Loveland, CO. My wife, myself and my two daughters have been clients of Robert's for several years now. When I first met Robert I had invested with another large firm for almost a decade. Our portfolios then were stagnant to say the least and in almost ten years had not been re-balanced even one time. Once our investments were transferred to Edward Jones and appropriately allocated by Robert from his understanding of our financial positions and retirement goals, we watched our portfolios grow like never before! During the market collapse of 2020, sadly almost simultaneous with my retirement, I was extremely nervous about what would become of our life-long investments. Only three days into the turmoil I approached Robert about jumping out of the stock market altogether and moving our money into a more static and presumably safer product portfolio. Robert gave me the option, but convinced all of us to ride the course and maintain our current allocations. Several weeks into the event I am very pleased to say our portfolios have lost only around one-half of all the major market indices losses, much less than we had feared, and are positioned to recover and continue to grow without a doubt in my mind! This is unquestionably a result of the careful monitoring, planning and frequent but necessary rebalancing of our portfolios in the proven investment vehicles at Edward Jones. Additionally, we have made many recommendations to friends and business associates to meet Robert. They have been more than satisfied with Robert's knowledge and professionalism and have become happy, confident clients. If you are looking for a caring, experienced, knowledgeable, professional and - most importantly to me - an engaged financial advisor I cannot give Robert Flood a high enough recommendation on all counts!
