I went into the bank and there was nobody at all in the bank for employees and not one of them would help me. They told me I had to wait very confused. What’s going on at this location?

I first have to say that KeyBank in general I do not care for - AT ALL. In fact I would give them ZERO stars if I could. In fact I stopped using my account and recently closed it. Most of the locations I used never had enough staff, they were rude and the way they handle some accounts was shocking.
For example: I had a recent name change because of Marriage and when I changed my last name at my other bank, as well as all my credit cards I was required to provide a marriage certificate and other documentation to do so (which was totally expected). The Smoky Hill location KeyBank was where I went to change my name and they LITERALLY had me write my name down on a scrap piece of paper to change it. Didn't ask for ID, no documentation....nothing. I could have been anybody. I had not been into that location in years and they did NOT KNOW ME.
Then my daughter went in and closed her accounts with KeyBank, only to get notification a few days after that some ACH transactions she hadn't gotten changed over to her new bank in time went through (instead of being rejected because the account was CLOSED)…..AND they charged NSF fee's in addition with her account now overdrawn. WTH?
Your wondering why the 5-stars then Michelle, right? I'll tell you why. These five stars are for DAVID FOX, the Branch Manager at this location and his staff - NOT KEYBANK - for DAVID FOX! This man was so understanding and helpful! He took care of everything! Listening to and letting me literally yell at him. He understood my frustration and the situation. He put the human touch back in banking that most banks haven't had for quite some time now! He explained the policies and procedures of banking and what happens with an account closure process and ACH transactions etc. So basically policy and bank rules within KeyBank (not all banks) - those ACH transactions can force an account back open within a certain timeframe of closing. David took care of the NSF charges, explained options for other accounts that might work better for my daughter, her schedule and her banking needs. He was amazing!
When I walked into that bank it was with the sole purpose of getting her money back and making sure the accounts are CLOSED! While I left that bank closing all the accounts - my daughter and I defiantly WILL BE GOING back for him to go over with my daughter her options on accounts, and will open another account. Heck I may even open another account with him - he is THAT GOOD AT HIS JOB!
Thank you David for taking such good care of us. It is wonderful to know that there are still good people out there willing to do the right thing. Kudos to you for not becoming one of the Corporate drones we see so often now and truly taking care of the customer the correct way!
If you are in need of an checking or savings account...Call and set up an appointment to meet with David. I assure you will get the guidance you need, the account that works best for you, and you will completely understand what you are in for with your banking experience.
I walked into that Bank in a rage. Most people would have cared less, and shot anger and rudeness right back at me; along with the "corporate rules dictates we" speech. David clearly takes pride in his work and it shows. He was impeccably dressed as well - just saying :-).
KeyBank should move this guy up the corporate ladder so he can influence and implement change across the board at all KeyBank locations. David is the type of person you should put at the helm of your ship KeyBank! All Mangers and employees should aspire to treat customers like he does! If this world had more David's it might be a much better place!

I couldn't express how happy I am with the service that I received from this branch, especially from the Relationship Manager, Steven Cartwright. I needed a new checking account because I moved back to Colorado from out of state and he went above and beyond to help me get this taken care of. Since I am in the process of moving and closing on a house, I did not have a utility bill to prove my place of residence in my name, and he found out a way to make sure my account could be opened and I could get my direct deposits from work. He even re-opened an account after I asked to close the first one I opened, because I did not think I would be able to obtain proof of residency in form of a utility bill.
He took time out of his day to make sure I was satisfied, was extremely polite, and was the nicest banker I have ever worked with. Thank you, Steven! You are a very hard worker and so on top of it. Best location to go to!
