- RRRuthOct 17, 20251.0My experience with Key Bank in Denver is totally the opposite of my good experience with Key Bank in Columbus, Ohio. In Denver, Key Bank officials are officious and all too happy to throw up roadblocks to people who have recently moved here. It wasn't like that at all in Ohio! Staff was even LESS understanding when I explained that the reason I need a bank account is so that I can have direct deposit made from a future job. These days, direct deposit is a necessity rather than a luxury. It's not like it was 40 years ago where employers happily cut paper checks. This need for a bank account for employability is supported in Ohio, but not here in Colorado!! My employability and need to transition into the workforce, as an older worker, was not respected at all here.
