  My wife and I met Dusty several years ago after conversations with other financial advisors left me thinking I may be better off managing my own portfolio. Dusty did his homework and came to the initial meeting prepared with ideas and proposals and presented them in a logical manner that we could understand. We decided to give him a shot, and we are so thankful to have him on our team. Dusty is authentic and genuinely concerned with the best interests of his clients. He fosters a team environment and uses terms like “we” and “us” to reinforce the fact that we are on the same team and our goals are aligned. He is relatable, personable and articulate. My wife and I have very different personalities and communication styles, and he relates and communicates well with both of us. This often involves explaining things in different ways or providing different examples, and it always involves a lot of patience on Dusty’s part. Dusty is intelligent and seems to have a thorough understanding of the market and our place in it. He asks lots of questions to find out what we want and then structures plans and goals accordingly. We have frequent phone conversations to check in on those goals and discuss any changes to our financial situation. Dusty is the consummate professional that takes a consultative approach with his clients. He is well versed in the financial markets and has enough of a solid, rounded knowledge of other topics such as taxes that he can answer basic questions. If the topic is outside of his comfort, he knows when to refer us to another professional. He is also willing to attend calls or meetings with those other professionals to facilitate information sharing and to help with coordination. I consider Dusty an indispensable resource as well as a friend, and I look forward to a long, mutually beneficial relationship.
