    Do not bank with KeyBank!! I’m posting this so other customers are aware of how the KeyBank Smoky Hill & Buckley branch and whole company handles deposits and account balances. I deposited a completely valid check in person at this branch, and the manager, Chris, confirmed that part of the funds would be available immediately. The KeyBank system also showed the funds as available. I relied on that information — as any customer would. Shortly after, the bank reversed the funds they told me were available, which pushed my account into a negative balance even though I had done nothing wrong. A scheduled payment was then rejected because of the negative balance the bank created. I contacted the branch right away — before the holiday — and despite the seriousness of the issue, I experienced delays, inconsistent information, and no real urgency to fix a negative balance caused entirely by the bank’s own system change. Banks should not: – Mark funds as available and then reverse them – Cause a customer’s account to go negative because of internal adjustments – Allow payments to be declined due to issues the bank created – Delay correcting situations that financially impact their customers This has created unnecessary stress during a time when customers expect basic accuracy and accountability. I am now escalating this with KeyBank’s higher departments because customers deserve transparency, consistency, and protection — not surprise reversals and rejected payments caused by the bank. I hope this review helps others be aware of what can happen at this branch.

I've been banking with them since January and have consistently been impressed by Yolanda, who has always been warm, responsive, and courteous. However, a recent interaction with the new Branch Manager, Chris Hamby, truly exceeded my expectations. During a crucial time for my small business, Chris stepped in, asked the right questions, and scheduled a follow-up meeting that provided more than just assistance—it provided a solution and peace of mind. His support has allowed me to focus on what matters most: growing my business.     Worst bank ever!!!!! Bank here for horrible service and there “required process” of holding funds on new accounts makes you feel like you are a criminal. They have to explain it to you then they have to make a big deal about going through the process of holding the money because it requires a managers signature. Also check hours before you bank here. Locations close at 5pm so no after work banking.
