Been banking with Bellco for 10 years. My credit score is not perfect but it’s pretty good. I attempted to apply for a loan and was denied due to “multiple delinquencies”. That was a lie. I couldn’t remember the last time I missed a payment or rent. Credit cards have been payed off multiple times. I decided to check my credit history and I only had one delinquency in my 20’s (ages ago). Seems like they denied me for personal reasons rather than professional reasons. Not surprised because I come into this branch and I’m hardly greeted or recognized, but when other people who look more like them walk in they get a warm greeting. Seems to me I have my answer right there. 10 years of banking doesn’t matter. I’ve had friends get loans with okay credit scores and only being a member for 1 year. But I guess if your white… that’s how banks work. Then I went in to open accounts for my children. I was told I needed their ssn, had it. Not enough, needed their birth certificates too. Okay I leave and come back and wait in the lobby just to be ignored by every employee. Finally I have to walk up to someone and ask for help. Only then I am helped. Then she tries to rush ME to help my daughter pick up her belongings because “she has another appointment” as though my business wasn’t good enough OR I hadn’t been ignored in the lobby for several minutes. I show the certificates, but now that’s not enough still. Apparently, I need proof of address. That’s fine, here’s my Valid Digital ID for the state of Colorado. Not good enough I need a bill or my rental agreement. Why they couldn’t tell me that BEFORE I left the first time to get the birth certificates. So I asked someone else. They do accept the digital ID but just for members. I told her that I HAVE BEEN A MEMBER FOR OVER A DECADE! Oh well then they need my SSN. Are you joking me?! Why is it I am treated like I’m less than human every time I come here. I deposit over $1000 a week, been banking here for over a decade, but still can’t be treated like I matter. Is it my name, my skin, my tattoos, my hair? Why is my time not valued when I come here? I waisted almost 2 hours of my time jumping through hoops. My children and I were treated like I was scum on the bottom of their shoes.

They always have bad attitudes and don’t really want the work we allow them to do for us. Iv had multiple bad experiences here. I’m not sure if it’s the management or the people they hire, highly recommend if you have time to go to another Belco branch

They are listed as a shared branch but offer no shares branch services except the ATM; which charges fees so what's the point? I could go to just any other place in the world. Waste of time. Needs to be removed from the shared branch list.
