- JZJoey ZDec 12, 20251.0Regional Finance sends out predatory loan letters. Scam alert. Beware of an unsolicited message and package from Regional Finance. I recieved a thick envelope from them with an unsolicited $2,600 live check in the mail. It can be deposited or cashed. The interest rate is on over 30%!!! I believe this to be unfair loan terms that I would never a ccept. I NEVER APPLIED FOR A LOAN FROM REGIONAL FINANCE. I believe these are meant to target individuals already struggling financially and are intended to trap the receiver in a cycle of debt. The very definition of predatory lending. I contacted them and their representative was rude and talked over me. With that check there was a letter thanking me for being a valued customer. This letter us clearly meant to confuse and deflect because it was clear they were the one and only company offering this loan. Their name was on the check, their name and phone number were on the paper work. The loan was repayable to them and them only. I felt this was quite dishonest. I've recieved checks like this before, but only from credit card companies that I as already have an a account with. I believe that this is further evidence that this is a preditory lending operation. Why this company is allowed to exist is pathetic
