    Update on my Wells Fargo CD experience – still disappointed. After I post last comment, a bank escalation representative named Dennis reached out. Unfortunately, he wasn’t helpful at all. I explained that I was traveling during the 10-day grace period and came to the branch on the 11th day – just one day after the cutoff to prevent auto-renewal. Despite this, I was still charged a 3-month interest penalty to withdraw my own money from a CD I never intended to renew. I asked for the penalty to be waived, given the situation. Dennis said he would “research” it and respond via a secure email – which, by the way, required me to create a separate account just to read his message. A few days later, I got a cold, copy-paste response filled with fine print and policy language, essentially saying: “We understand your frustration, but we’re not doing anything about it.” Wells Fargo chose to hide behind their policies rather than treat a long-time customer fairly. I’m incredibly disappointed, and I wanted to share this here so others are aware. Attach my original comment: somehow I can’t respond to my original message: Don’t put your money in a Wells Fargo CD – they set traps for customers. I had a $30,000 6-month CD at a special 5.0% rate that matured on 3/24. I was traveling around that time, so I called ahead to ask if I could transfer the money to my checking account upon maturity. They said no, I had to come in person. When I finally visited the branch on 4/4, they told me the CD had auto-renewed into another 6-month term at just 2.0% – and because I was “too late,” I’d have to pay a penalty of three months of interest to withdraw my own money. This is unacceptable and completely ridiculous. Why can’t customers make arrangements online? Why isn’t there an option to disable auto-renewal? It feels like Wells Fargo is intentionally trapping customers to renew at lower rates and penalize them for accessing their own funds. I ended up paying the penalty just to get my money back. I will never put another dollar into a Wells Fargo CD again.

    Don’t do banking with Wells Fargo specifically this location!!!! DON’T TRUST WELLS FARGO AND THIS LOCATION! Unsafe location, Weak system, Confused and uneducated staff that they’re fooling you!!! Your valuable doesn’t have safety at this bank and location! 6 years ago I opened the safe box at this location and the banker Thomas Medeiros assigned the box to me and gave me the key to another box! I had access to the box that didn’t belong to me for 6 years! Since 2 years ago I wasn’t able to find my key and I was keep going to branch to set up an appointment to get my box unlocked which they including Michael Richardson (Senior Premier Banker)ignored me multiple times! Finally Steven branch manager 3 weeks ago said ok to set up an appointment for me and he called me last week to go for appointment then we figured out the mess they did, locksmith opened the box number was on lease agreement which wasn’t my box and it was empty! I was keep pointing to right box that I had access to it all the time that has similar number to the one on the contract and Steven ignored to open that box for me and gave me hard time, the day after luckily I could find my keys and I went to the bank to open my box which it was proof to Steven that was big mistake of the bank and old school and unsafe and weak system they have! But they put me through a shock and gave so much stress to me that I couldn’t even sleep! what if someone from bank or theft could have access to it and stole my contents. Now instead of solving the mess Steven was trying to rush me to close the box immediately and say if I don’t Steven will say I refused to do the process correctly and he can drill the box that I had access to it (To destroy the case and documents I have from them) which I didn’t give them the permission until they solve the issue they made for me! If he can drill that box now without my permission how couldn’t he open it on the day lock smith was there !? They’re trying to play with me! If you ask them do you have larger box ?! They always say no cause it’s all about FAVORITISM! When it comes in to their family and friends it becomes available!!! How come on lease agreement doesn’t say bank doesn’t have access to our boxes ?! How come they don’t change the keys of boxes when someone returns the key and they’re lease it to new client ?! (They want you to pay for new sets of the keys by saying you lost those and ask them to set up an appointment with locksmith and make you pay additional $125 for your new sets of the keys for the new box you’re leasing) How do they say they’re protecting your valuables ?! Any theft could go with fake ID and had access to my box cause of their weak system! I called executive office of Wells Fargo to ask them to help with this situation which they just opened the case and few days after Maya, case manager who didn’t even care to communicate with me closed the case and said solve it with branch manager that they agreed to play with me and put me in the loop! (THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE) If I wasn’t thinking I lost my keys none of these could happen and they could lease the box I had access to someone else with my valuable contents!! They have a very weak system that they didn’t figure out the mess they did in whole past 6 years ago until now!!! Don’t TRUST WELLS FARGO AND THIS LOCATION! It’s a very regrettable!!! If I could do negative stars, I definitely do!!!

    absolutely TERRIBLE service ! WF shame on you! ATM won't give out standard amount of cash, teller took 15(!!!) minutes to give me cash Extremely disappointed :(

    My first time walking in here I didn’t feel welcomed as the other guest. I felt a odd tension from the staff member Norma towards me. She greeted the Caucasian guest farewell. When it was my turn she didn’t greet me, i greeted her farewell and to have a good rest of the day and she didn’t respond back. I’m not sure if it was because of my race or age but I never felt this anymosity at any other branch. All I came for was to purchase some checks and she made me feel like I couldn’t afford the price. $3
