- RGRalph GoldsenFeb 8, 20245.0I used to live across Fairview from the Fairview branch and then used a branch in Palmdale when I moved there. I kept my WF accounts when I moved to Hawaii because my state contractor payments go there. Wells Fargo has been good in every location I've used them. Maybe their wire fee was slightly higher. There are terrible competing banks in Goleta, Palmdale and Hawaii, and you'd have to be treated badly by those banks to appreciate that Wells Fargo is actually a pretty good bank. It's all relative.
- PSPatti SellMay 29, 20181.0I went in today 5/29/18 to cash a Wells Fargo Rewards check for $250.00 from my Visa card (rewards money earned), and I was told I could cash the check there but there is a $7.50 charge to cash the check. I was alittle surprised that I would have to pay $7.50 to cash a Wells Fargo check from the bank. I asked to talk to the Manager Patti C. and she too said "no"due to I did not have a checking account there that I would have to pay the $7.50 to cash the check .(I have had the charge card since 1981 when I was 18 now 55) So I could not cash check so I walked over to Montecito Bank and Trust which I have a checking account and they cashed it there no problem! I did remember when I got to my car that my name is on my parents checking account and safe deposit box at Wells Fargo so they should of looked up my name while I was there. But that did not happen. But I did not want to go back and wait in line. It just seemed not right that they would not cash the check from Wells Fargo Rewards I am very disappointed with service I received today and very glad Montecito Bank and Trust personal was there they are always so great!!
