  📍 1203 4th Street is a dignified Wells Fargo branch location in downtown San Rafael, CA. Employees were polite and respectful when I arrived in need of their check cashing services. This photo of the banks exterior signage was captured July 16th, 2014. ★★★★★

  After opening savings and checking account, I thought I would try one of the free services that came with our higher tier status – because we needed to notarize a document. I met with the Notary twice. The first time he said the form was not clear enough and he did not understand what kind of a notary we needed. So I went back to the institution that had sent me the form, and got clarification. I came back to the Wells Fargo Notary, and he said he was still unable to do it because the form language was not specific enough. The form was from TIAA CREF, a large investment firm, and the form was standard. I got frustrated, so took the form and my IDs to a local UPS office around the corner, that offers Notary services for $15 per form. They notarized the two forms I needed within five minutes, no problems with the form. The Notary explained that he had done many of these, as they were quite common in our area. Not sure what’s wrong with the Wells Fargo notary. I thought I’d save $30, but that was not to be. I just experienced frustration after multiple visits. Just hope their other services turn out to be more satisfactory.

  We are having issues with the bank and selling a car lately. We had to go down to the bank a second time this morning to talk to a bank person and had a interaction with Daniel. He was so very helpful for my mother and absolutely friendly and respectful. This man was wonderful to my mother and was very helpful all around. I personally hate most Financial institutions but this man was so wonderful and helpful, that I would trust him with my money.

  Horrible branch with very low quality management there. Difficult to do simple transactions at this branch verses other financial institutions. Not customer service oriented for a high end portfolio client and 20 year customer. Will be changing to a different bank very soon. Avoid this branch and bank whenever possible.
