- ASAlexandra SingerOct 13, 20241.0Save your time and don’t bank at Umpqua. This branch is egregiously understaffed and poor at communication both within their team and to customers. Went to them to open some accounts, but they made so many mistakes in the process that I had to keep going back on my lunch break, only for them to keep making additional mistakes which I kept having to return to remedy and so on. So glad I finally closed my accounts there.
- WWWRITERSTEMPLEAug 19, 20191.0TERRIBLE PHONE SERVICE!!! No free parking. No real live agents on weekends! Umpqua never answers their phones! This has not just happened once to me but many times. TODAY I CALLED AND LEFT THE PHONE ON THE WAIT MUSIC FOR 4 HOURS!!! that's right - 4 hours and still nobody picked up!I am going to cancel out my accounts with UMPQUA - both my savings and checking accounts. Also, on the weekends Umpqua does not have 'real agents' answering their phones. i will pull my 2 accounts and put them in my credit union account. Umpqua closes at 5pm which makes it impossible to bank after work. i think Umpqua is on its way out. Banks have a reputation for dishonesty. I'm going to try credit unions.
