    It’s a nightmare dealing with this branch and Citibank in general. I thoroughly recommend opening an account with a smaller bank where you get to speak to real people and don’t have to deal with Indian call centers.

    New member seeking help with a business account. Branch manager and staff were all very friendly and helpful. Update 08/14/25, follow up help not available. Branch Mgr Marcos gave me his card to help solve issue. Will not reply to emails or phone calls, for days. Now I have to make a 120 mile R/T not knowing if I have everything I need. Might be looking for new bank.

    Extremely difficult to understand the person speaking. English not their first language. The accent was so difficult to understand and not just w one person but I called three different times and everyone I spoke to I had to strain to understand. I don’t speak your language but you have learned mine!!! More admiration for you but breaking through the horrible, thick accent makes it not only a work but darn near impossible.

    citibank has been the worst bank experience ever! Not necessarily the San Rafael branch but ... I closed my cd the day of the grace period over the phone. Received no confirmation and the account was still open 2 days later. So I called again - and was assured it had been closed and check was on the way and would take 5-10 business days, then close once I deposited the check - but NO. Nothing and when I called AGAIN was told the account was still open (over phone) and I would get a penality if I tried to close it. SO I went to bank and was told by manager he would handle it and I'd hear back from him within a few days - it has been almost 2 weeks now and I can't reach him directly because you can't call and reach someone there ... you get sent to the phillipines.
