- AAAdriannaAug 5, 20251.0A great bank unless something goes wrong! On Sunday night I got a suspicious email from Paypal saying they were charging me $592.91. I have not had a Paypal account for 25 years. Paypal does not have my name address or cc number. But to be safe I took the email into my Wells Fargo branch. Lo and behold there were only tellers. There was no banker on site. I was given the customer service number. When I called a man answered who could barely make himself understood in English. Likewise he had trouble understanding me. Before all this was over he had transfered me to Claims where they also had no real advice. Before I knew it my account was blocked. I went back today to find out the manager is out on paternal leave indefinitely. I was lucky enough that there was what is called a roving banker and he sorted it out for me which took over an hour. Be advised there is not often an actual banker on site. Also be advised Wells Fargo customer service is a joke. They should at least be fluent in English. Finance problems are serious matters!
